Knopf, June 2009); Alice Pung, the author of the memoir, Unpolished Gem: My Mother, My Grandmother, and Me, and editor of the collection, Growing Up Asian in Australia; Paul Yoon, whose first collection of stories was published by Sarabande Books in April 2009; and Shamini Flint, the author of the brand-new Inspector Singh Investigates crime series.

TAN MAY LEE will be interviewing Sarah Butler and Jeremy Sheldon, the author of The Comfort Zone (Jonathan Cape/Vintage, 2002) and The Smiling Affair (Jonathan Cape/Vintage, 2005), and Sydney-based Antony Loewenstein, the author of the best-selling book, My Israel Question, a controversial discussion of one of the most important issues of our time, as well as The Blogging Revolution, a searching examination of the ways the internet is threatening the rule of some of the planet’s most repressive governments. Also Michelle Cahill, Alison Lester, Antony Loewenstein and Omar Musa.

DEEPIKA SHETTY has also interviewed Vikas Swarup, the best-selling author of Q&A (Slumdog Millionaire) and Six Suspects.

JANET TAY will be interviewing Brian Leung, the author of Lost Men and World Famous Love Acts; Yiyun Li, the author of the prize-winning A Thousand Years of Good Prayers and The Vagrants (Random House/Fourth Estate, 2009); Mohammed Hanif, the Man Booker Prize-longlisted author of A Case of Exploding Mangoes (Jonathan Cape/Random House, 2008); and Nobel Prize-winner J.M. Coetzee, who has a new novel, Summertime (Harvill Secker/Random House), coming out in September 2009.
